The Longines Heritage 1968: elegance vintage square

Longines has in its collection The Longines Heritage, which pays tribute to the historical watches of the brand of Saint-Imier, a model of 1968 of a beautiful elegance with its square case (two sizes available in steel or rose gold), its brushed grey dial with Roman numerals and its mechanical calibre. A nice touch of vintage to the wrist.

Renovated in 2012 on the occasion of the 180 years of the brand, the Longines Museum contains many treasures, including a magnificent square room that served as an inspiration to The Longines Heritage 1968. This new model equipped with a mechanical automatic calibre is available in two sizes and two materials (steel or yellow gold).

The Longines Heritage 1968 found inspiration in the Longines Museum collections. Located in the heart of the company in Saint-Imier Replica Rolex    watches, latter was renovated in 2012 on the 180th anniversary of the brand. It presents the witnesses of the rich history of Longines, articulated around its values and favorite themes, elegance, watchmaking tradition, innovation, sport and adventure.

Among the pieces presented in the Museum, a model square dating back to 1968-served as inspiration for a new creation. Available in two sizes, 26mmx26mm, or 33mm x 33mm, and two materials, steel or rose gold (our favorite), The Longines Heritage 1968 displays a timeless aesthetic. Its brushed grey dial features Black Roman numerals painted while finesse and a timer on the outside. Hours and minutes hands, a fine net of black varnish recalls the lines of figures and thus offers a delicate contrast.

If its square box gives at first sight a rather traditional look, The Longines Heritage 1968 reveals an interesting profile with its slightly beveled ice protruding from the middle. The date trapezoid window gives, addition, air fresh and daring, which freed strict lines of its box. A black alligator strap complete this room equipped with a mechanical movement while sobriety.
